Acne Scar Removal

Overview

Acne scars can leave lasting marks on your skin and your confidence. Our microneedling treatment is designed to reduce the appearance of acne scars and improve skin tone and texture, giving you a smoother, more radiant look.

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, uses tiny needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, which stimulates your body’s natural healing response. This process increases collagen production, helps heal scar tissue, and refreshes the surface of the skin.

We offer three different microneedling options based on your needs and goals:

  • Microneedling with Hyaluronic Acid: Ideal for hydration and overall texture.
  • Microneedling with PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Uses your own blood to boost healing and collagen regeneration.
  • Microneedling with Exosomes: Speeds up healing and supports anti-inflammatory effects. The growth factors in exosomes can stimulate fibroblasts, leading to increased collagen and elastin production, resulting in firmer, more youthful skin.

Most Commonly Asked Questions

How should I prepare for my upcoming treatment?

  • Apply & Reapply sunscreen in the AM and throughout the day the days leading up to your treatment
  • Do not wax, shave, or use hair removal creams 1 week prior.
  • Do not take anti-inflammatory medication for at least 1 week prior.
  • Avoid chemical exfoliants such as retinol, lactic, glycolic, salicylic, and benzoyl peroxide 2 weeks prior to your service.
  • Avoid exfoliating the week of your service.

Precautions and post care are necessary to ensure that the microneedling facial is effective and that you don’t experience any unnecessary discomfort during your cosmetic procedure or after. It is crucial that you follow these guidelines and speak with your aesthetic consultant about taking any additional precautions to ensure and achieve results with minimal downtime.

What should I expect on the day of my treatment?

The day of your microneedling procedure you should come in with a clean face, free of makeup or moisturizer. Your provider will cleanse your skin followed by applying topical numbing cream to the treatment area to provide the most comfort during your treatment. Once you are numb (approximately 25 -30 min) your numbing cream will be moved and your treatment will start. A pen-like device will glide over your skin to create microscopic injuries. The procedure itself should be relatively painless. The first 24 hours expect some redness and sensitivity: Skin will look and feel like a mild to moderate sunburn-red, tight, and slightly swollen. Warmth and Tingling: Some experience mild burning or tingling sensations. By day 3 dead skin cells may begin to shed.

How many sessions will I need?

You may see visible improvements in skin texture and tone within the first week. However, optimal results are typically seen after a series of 3 to 6 sessions, spaced  4-6 weeks apart.

Is the treatment painful?

We apply a topical numbing cream beforehand to keep you comfortable. Most people say it feels like a light vibration or tingling.

What is the downtime like?

Redness, inflammation, and mild sensitivity are common for the first 24–48 hours. Most clients resume normal activities quickly.
