Botox Treatment for Wrinkle Reduction
Overview
Botox is one of the most popular and trusted non-surgical cosmetic treatments for reducing fine lines and wrinkles. At Park Avenue Aesthetics, we use FDA-approved Botox to smooth dynamic facial lines caused by repeated expressions – like frowning, squinting, and smiling – without changing your natural facial movement.
Botox works by temporarily relaxing targeted facial muscles, which helps to soften the appearance of existing wrinkles and prevent new lines from forming. The treatment is quick, minimally invasive, and has little to no downtime.
We tailor each Botox session to your facial structure and aesthetic goals, whether you’re looking to soften crow’s feet, lift the brow area, or reduce forehead lines. .
Common Botox treatment areas include:
- Forehead lines
- Frown lines (the “11s” between the brows)
- Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
- Bunny lines (on the nose)
- Hyperhidrosis

Most Commonly Asked Botox Questions
How long does Botox last?
Results typically last between 3 to 4 months. With regular maintenance, the effects may last longer and help prevent deeper lines from forming.
When will I see results?
You may begin to see results within 3 to 5 days, with full effects visible by 10 to 14 days post-treatment.
Does it hurt?
Botox involves a series of small injections using a fine needle. Most patients describe the sensation as a small pinch or mosquito bite. Numbing cream is available if needed.
Will I look “frozen”?
Not at all. When administered by an experienced provider, Botox allows for natural facial movement while relaxing overactive muscles. Our goal is a refreshed, not frozen, look.
Before Care Treatment Recommendations
- Avoid Blood Thinners such as aspirin and ibuprofen, supplements such as fish oil and vitamin E. If you are on prescription blood thinners, consult your doctor before stopping them.
- Limit Alcohol and Caffein at least 24 hours before your appointment.
- Avoid harsh skincare treatments or products that can irritate the skin, like chemical peels or facials, for a few days beforehand.
- Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and plump, which can help with Botox settling evenly.
- Ensure your face is clean and free of makeup, lotions, or other products on the day of your appointment.
Consult Your Doctor:
If you have any concerns or are taking prescription medications, it’s always best to consult with your doctor or the practitioner performing the Botox treatment.
After-Treatment Recommendations
Do’s:
- Stay upright for at least 4 hours after your appointment

- Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water to help flush out toxins and maintain skin hydration.
- Sleep Upright: Avoid lying down for at least four hours after your injections to prevent Botox migration.
- Sunscreen: Wear sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher, even indoors, to protect your skin from sun damage.
- Manage Discomfort: If you experience pain or discomfort, you can take acetaminophen (Tylenol) for relief, but avoid ibuprofen or aspirin, as they can increase bruising.

- Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours
- Refrain from lying down, strenuous activity, or heat exposure (hot yoga, saunas) for the rest of the day
- Avoid alcohol and blood-thinning medications (if possible) for 24 hours to reduce bruising
